baby reaper and the mysterious boy.

Hello, again. It's been a while. I've done a lot since my last post... I'm currently at 45 pages, double-spaced, for the Baby Reaper story. I am still lacking a decent title for it. Cassie has met Death, who is a very hot Greek-ish man, she's accidentally killed her boyfriend and tossed him off a bridge, and she's about to go to a Reaper party. Kevin, I have no idea if you actually read my blog, but if you're reading this before I turn in the story, sorry for the spoilers.

I also have new ideas for other stories... but they're still in the formative stages, so I really don't want to talk about them just yet.

I also have some weird-ish news. Well, two pieces of weird-ish news. Firstly, there is a storm grate near the library that gurgles loudly every time I walk past it. I'm convinced that there is a monster in there who is going to come out and eat me if I walk past that grate too many times.

Secondly, there is the Mysterious Boy. About two weeks ago, I saw him for the first time. For those of you who don't know, Sewanee has this tradition called the Passing Hello. When you pass someone on the sidewalk, you say hello. It's just a nice thing to do. Although usually people just do the awkward fake smile thing in order to avoid actually speaking. Well, I was walking to McClurg for lunch one day, and there was a boy walking toward me, away from McClurg. I glanced at him to do the awkward fake smile thing, and then did a double-take. He was GORGEOUS. Dark hair, beautiful eyes, really chiseled face... I think I might have drooled a little. And do you know what he said? He smiled and said, "Hi." And I said, "..............hey." It was awkward.

And then, a few days later, I saw him again in the library. I was sitting at this table across from the stairs and he was coming up the stairs and he smiled at me again. Then he was gone.

And then today, he opened the door for me in McClurg as he was leaving and I was going in. And all I said was "Thank you." Not "Hi, I'm Becca, what's your name?" or "I think you're beautiful. We should get married and have babies." Just "Thank you." Yeah. Polite, but still lacking something.

But then, there's always next time, right?
