sewanee zombie apocalypse.

Have you ever thought about what would happen if zombies attacked Sewanee? I have. But then, I'm kind of weird. My friends and I make zombie contingency plans and figure out which of us would die first if we lived in horror movies.

At lunch today, Jessica, Tiffany, Elizabeth, Kristen and I were talking about what could possibly cause classes to be cancelled at Sewanee. We decided that snow wouldn't do it; probably not even velociraptors would. We'd be expected to fight through them to get to class.

Then we wondered what would happen if zombies attacked. Where would be the best place to hole up and wait out a siege? Maybe All Saints, because then we'd also have access to Carnegie, Walsh-Elliot and Guerry, though how we'd block all the exterior doors and windows into those buildings is beyond me. I feel like the police email warning the student body about such an attack would look like this:

WARNING: WHAT APPEAR TO BE ZOMBIES ARE ATTACKING STUDENTS AND FACULTY ACROSS THE DOMAIN. STAY INDOORS. BARRICADE YOURSELVES IN IF POSSIBLE. DO NOT GO OUTSIDE. FURTHER UPDATES WILL BE SENT AS THE SITUATION DEVELOPS.

Except probably with more typos. And then (because I spend so much time in Gailor with friends between classes) we'd have to fight our way through the zombie hoard to get to a more defensible place (like All Saints or Walsh-Elliot).

And then there are the professors. Each of them would have their own personal zombie-fighting style, naturally. Reishman would cut them down with his umbrella as he biked past them. Macfie would strangle them with her scarves. Engel would tell Albie to get them, and then Albie would just lay down and ignore him. Can you tell I'm an English major? Lol.

Sorry this post is kind of maudlin. It's just that kind of day.

In case you're wondering, this is a pretty interesting guide on how to survive a zombie attack:

Also, this could prove helpful for those unfamiliar with zombies. ;-)
