vbs pictures.

Well, it's been a while. My summer has been mostly uneventful so far. We finished up VBS last week - I'm including pictures below, as many as I can, and possibly will have to do another post to put the rest up. So, let's begin:

This is the banner we hung up over the door to the sanctuary. Katie painted it and was very artistic! Lol.

This was our youngest class, ages 3-5ish. They were definitely my favorites, especially the twins - too adorable.

The middle and older classes had music time together, which is when this picture was taken.

This is everybody! All the kids, teachers, and helpers.

From left to right, back row first: Kirby, Taylor, Katie, Parker, William ("Wee-yam"), Kelsey, Darla, Me, Madeline.

This is the tent that we had set up in our classroom, the safari campsite. Also known as the "love tent."

We built a tree!!

We also built a watering hole under the stairs in the lobby. Notice the hippos and the elephant.

This was the backdrop in the sanctuary. I love drawing them but I hate painting/outlining, so usually I talk somebody else into doing that part.

This was the 'acacia grove.' Please ignore the fact that these aren't acacia trees. It was in the skits that we needed an acacia grove and I didn't know how to build them so we just borrowed a bunch of palms from my mom and scavenged fake plants from other places to create a small grove of trees. Also, notice the giraffe. He's kind of my favorite.

Soul train during music time!

Rave in the sanctuary! Also during music time. All we need are glowsticks.

And that's really all for now, I think. Nothing else exciting has been going on in my life. I've got the conference in about a week... I'm nervous and excited. It'll be nice to get out of Jackson and back to Sewanee.
